I learned very early (Oakland in the 70s, baby!) that black is, among many other things, very  beautiful. It's easy to remember. Still, during the recent actor's strike I made time to  create digital spaces that pointedly celebrate the extraordinary beauty of black folks.  Yes, I'm aware that beauty is as diverse and amazing as the human experience itself. (Yaaay, everything and everybody else!)   But here, the aim is to celebrate the unique beauty of "black",  (the big B,  and the little "b").  

Just like light, beauty is transformative. 

I like the way light shines through black.
